A Broader Cultural Vision for the ATC Cultural Festival
Gathering 2027
The ATC Cultural Festival will now take place every other year, with the next Festival scheduled for September 2027.
This decision reflects the Festival’s growth, and ATC’s exciting plans to proceed with cultural celebrations that extend for longer periods throughout the summer within the urban area of Fort McMurray. These new activities will be an important supplement to the Cultural Festival in 2027 and onward.
Growth
Over the past several years, the ATC Cultural Festival has expanded in attendance, partnerships, and participation. That growth signals Cree and Dene cultures are strong, and there is increasing interest in gathering, learning, and sharing over extended periods.
While the next Cultural Festival will be delivered in 2027, ATC will be excited to share new opportunities for cultural celebration during the 2026 spring, fall and summer seasons.
