Jennifer Shortman

Jennifer Shortman is a Cree woman from Fort Chipewyan who specializes in making birch bark baskets. Art has always been one of her biggest passions in life. Growing up in the scenic surroundings of Fort Chipewyan, Jennifer found inspiration everywhere she looked. The natural beauty of her environment and the abundance of materials for creating art have deeply influenced her work. All of Jennifer's artwork is inspired by Indigenous culture and reflects her profound connection to her heritage.
